Growing up in a community that gave love in many ways, made me think that life is good, everyone helping one another, and supporting each other unconditionally.
“I thought this adulting is great!” Secure, joyful, loving, and I could depend on anyone for anything. Thinking nothing could change my mind, people would have my back no matter what, only to realize later that it was not the truth.
To experience a different kind of life and seeing other women being treated with the lack of support, I yearned and asked for guidance to do something differently. Realizing I did not want any woman to be without a safe community. I wanted the women to be empowered, know their worth and understand they could do all things. It just takes time.
While experiencing life and allowing the Spirit to fill the void, I decided I would give of myself to create a healthy space for women no matter what and that is when “A Pampering Touch” came to be!
Becoming a Certified Full Spectrum Doula under The Mothership Institue has propelled me to create a community that’s safe, supportive, and empowering. What better way to support mothers, as they learn how fascinating the body changes while a baby develops on the inside of their womb. To be by their side advocating before, during, and after birthing is encouraging. For they are not alone. This is such a beatiful way for mama to know, “I got this!”
My heart is happy to share and support mamas during and after their birthing journey. This is my purpose driven life which gratitude fills my heart. I am Audrey Van Hook!
